Lady Comeau III is a factory vessel measuring 49.70 meters in length and 12 meters in beam, built at the Armón Vigo shipyard for the Canadian company Comeau’s Seafoods Limited.
Designed for scallop harvesting and processing in the North Atlantic, it features state-of-the-art systems including a 10-ton-per-day IQF tunnel, a 504 m³ freezer hold at -30 °C, and a WASSP multibeam sonar for seabed analysis.
At GekkotaShips, we created its digital twin, scanning over 2,200 m² with Matterport technology to capture both the interior and exterior of the ship in detail. This navigable 3D model enables:
The work was carried out before the vessel’s final delivery to the owner, providing a highly valuable technical resource for shipbuilders, suppliers, and maritime companies.
This type of digital twin allows the ship’s condition to be recorded upon completion of construction, also facilitating documentation, crew training, and potential future interventions.
