Hadassa Bay is one of the most innovative freezer trawlers built in Spain in recent years. At 75 meters in length and 15 meters in beam, it is designed to operate efficiently in the Falkland Islands fishing grounds, combining safety, sustainability, and operational performance.

Built by Astilleros Armón for South Atlantic Squid—a joint venture between Copemar and Beaucheine Fishing—this vessel features cutting-edge fishing, navigation, and hybrid propulsion technologies. Accommodating up to 70 crew members, the Hadassa Bay sets a new standard in energy efficiency and onboard comfort.

At GekkotaShips, we created a full digital twin of the vessel, scanning over 3,400 m² across multiple decks and technical areas. Thanks to the interactive 3D model, it is possible to:

  • Conduct detailed virtual tours in secure, private environments
  • Monitor technical installations without physical access
  • Prepare crews through early visual training in the real onboard environment

The magnitude of this project required meticulous technical planning, with close attention to detail at every scanning phase. This work strengthens our expertise in 3D digitization of complex industrial vessels, providing high-value visual tools for today’s maritime sector.
